Founder and Chairman
of Network Economy
Stefan Doeblin
Stefan founded the Network Economy Group in 1995, making him the company's Chairman and CEO. With more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, eight years in the renewable energy sector, he now works in the field of organic and biodynamic agriculture.
Based on these experiences, Stefan came to the conclusion that he wanted to advocate for more important and essential issues: seeds and the resulting healthy foods. Life begins with seeds and these are the seeds that are increasingly lacking in the world of technology. Seeds that are influenced by people's positive spirit become cultural seeds.
In close cooperation with Demeter International and as a member of the German biodynamic breeding association Kultursaat e.V., he took on the challenge of setting up an initiative for plant breeding and seed propagation for southern Europe and the Mediterranean region, starting from Portugal. Living Seeds Sementes Vivas SA was established in July 2015 together with a founding team.
During his tenure at Network Economy, he has developed more than 20 companies over the past 20 years with an approximate average investment duration of five to seven years. Trade sales have been very successful with a multiple equity factor. The everyday business models always aimed to replicate local models.
His previous experience includes serving as Managing Director of Metropolitan Fiber Systems Communications in Germany, where Stefan successfully built the first local loop access carrier in competition with Deutsche Telekom. Stefan was also Business Development Manager at British Telecom, where he was responsible for acquisitions and strategic alliances for BT Europe.
